Blue Ribbon Sushi (119 Sullivan Street, SoHo) has been open since 1995 and stays open until 2am. This is where chefs eat after their own restaurants close. That tells you everything you need to know.

The sushi is excellent, the atmosphere is dimly lit and buzzy, and there’s something about eating pristine yellowtail at midnight in SoHo that makes you feel like you’re living in the right city. Expect to spend $60-80 per person.
