I work near the Empire State Building and eat lunch around there every day. This list is actually accurate which is rare. Most guides just list chain restaurants.

Peter, this means a lot coming from someone who actually eats there every day and isn't just visiting once for a photo op. Most guides really do just list whatever chain is closest to the elevator line. Glad K-town is holding it down for you on the regular.…

Where to Eat Near the Empire State Building

We watched from Brooklyn Bridge Park last year and it was incredible. Get there early though, like 5pm early. Worth it.

I love Brooklyn Bridge Park for exactly that reason, the skyline shot makes the whole miserable wait worth it. I say 4pm and I stand by it, that extra hour matters once the blankets start going down. Glad you got a good spot.
