Spitzer’s Corner at Rivington and Ludlow is the bar equivalent of that friend who always shows up on time. Good beer selection, good burgers, never too loud, never too dead.

It doesn’t have the cheapest happy hour on the LES, but everything is consistently solid. The burger is one of the better ones you’ll find in the neighborhood for under $15. And the tap list rotates enough that there’s always something new worth trying.

This is where I go when I don’t want to think too hard about where to go.
