Coffee and cocktails? I volunteer as tribute! Who would’ve guessed that Five & Dime, the cute coffee shop you spent the morning at transforms into a tempting cocktail bar come nightfall? You’re free to order any drink you’d like when visiting, void of judgment. Whether you want caffeine or a buzz you’ll enjoy a flavorsome beverage at one of the best bars in Tribeca.
Beyond the drinks, Five & Dime secures its status among Tribeca’s best bars with its captivating 1920s decor, transporting you to the charm of old New York. Tucked inside the Woolworth Building, the vintage ambiance is both authentic and enchanting.
The Woolworth Building holds iconic status in New York City, having been the world’s tallest building from 1913 to 1920. With ample seating, if you arrive in the morning, you’re welcome to work or study. However, as the day progresses, your coffee can seamlessly transition into alcohol, and at that point, who knows how productive you’ll be!
Coffee and cocktails? I volunteer as tribute! As if the drinks weren’t enough, Five & Dime is one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca thanks to its chic 1920’s decor that oozes old school vibes. The aesthetic is attributed to the fact the cafe is located inside the Woolworth Building.
For those who don’t know, the Woolworth Building was the tallest building in the world from 1913 to 1920, before being usurped by the Empire State Building.
There’s plenty of seating, so if you arrive in the morning you’re welcome to work or study. If you stay into the afternoon though the drinks can turn into alcoholic beverages, and at that point it’s anyone’s guess how productive you’ll be.
If you’re looking for a recommendation I suggest ordering the arctic macchiato, which is made with a double shot of espresso, a teeny bit of vanilla syrup, and oat milk shaken and strained into ice.
