50 MacDougal Street, Greenwich Village. A tiny bar (seats about 15 people) with wine and beer only. Glasses of wine are $9-13. Draft beers are $7-9. It’s the kind of place where you sit at the bar, the bartender recommends something, and you realize you’ve been there for three hours. No food, no pretension, just good drinks in a space small enough that you’ll end up talking to the person next to you.
