Worth it. Securing reservations at NYC’s top jazz clubs feels like a daunting task, but Tomi Jazz takes it a step further by ditching reservations altogether.

What I wrote thereFold it away

Securing reservations at NYC’s top jazz clubs feels like a daunting task, but Tomi Jazz takes it a step further by ditching reservations altogether. The end result? Wait times of 2+ hours. Now, if you’re like most folks, you might find it tempting to scroll on to the next New York City jazz club on the list, but that’d be a mistake.

Yes, the long wait is a bear, but Tomi is easily one of the most impressive jazz clubs in New York City, and you won’t want to miss it. The cozy, speakeasy-like ambiance amplifies the exclusivity, with cozy tight spaces adding an extra dash of New York Charm. Unlike most of the places mentioned on this list, Tomi Jazz is equal parts restaurant and jazz club.

Offering delicious Japanese-inspire cuisine, the food is top-notch. Clear standouts are the cod roe spaghetti and omurice. It’s a great spot for date night! Live music starts around 6pm most days, and there’s a $10 cover charge during the weekends (Friday – Sunday) along with a two-hour maximum stay per table (Thursday- Sunday).
