Where Dirty French appears on New York Dearest

Not every happy hour has to involve a sticky bar stool. Dirty French in the Ludlow Hotel is genuinely elegant, and Jajaja nearby does plant-based Mexican food with solid margaritas.
These are the spots for when you want to feel like an adult who has their life together. The prices are higher (this is not your $6 cocktail situation), but still noticeably cheaper than most of what you’d find in the West Village or SoHo. The LES has always been a step more affordable than its neighbors, and these restaurants prove it.
Jajaja’s margaritas are strong. Two is a good number. Three is a decision.
