The Frying Pan, a top waterfront restaurant in NYC, is unique, it’s on a boat! Located at Pier 66 in Chelsea, it boasts stunning Hudson River views, especially during sunsets.

Originally a lightship in 1929, the Frying Pan served the U.S. for 30 years before being decommissioned. After sinking and spending 3 years underwater, it was raised, transformed, and now stands as one of NYC’s best waterfront restaurants.

Beyond its rich history, the Frying Pan offers savory seafood-centric dishes. A must-try is the calamari fritti. Enjoy scenic drinks with a variety of beers, wines, and refreshing tropical cocktails. While it’s popular, note that The Frying Pan doesn’t take reservations. The line is usually manageable, moving quickly, though it peaks right before sunset.
