Drawing inspiration from the iconic piano rooms that have enchanted New York City for generations, Mezzrow emerged as one of the premier jazz clubs in NYC. Paying homage to the legendary musician Mezz Mezzrow, the venue revives the legacy of one of the 20th century’s greatest musicians.
This swanky basement club (which is a sister venue to Smalls Jazz Club) offers a more refined and intimate setting. Hosting around five performances per night, it showcases top-tier pianists, vocalists, and small ensembles, emphasizing a focus on classic jazz and piano-centric performances.
Like most jazz clubs in NYC, Mezzrow requires a one drink minimum per set. Also worth noting, tickets are less expensive for walk-in guests. The only caveat is you’ll be gambling whether or not you’ll be able to snag a table.
