Serendipity 3.

Serendipity 3 is known for over-the-top sweets, especially the frozen hot chocolate, which is as indulgent and photogenic as it sounds. I usually book a reservation if we’re going during peak hours, and it’s always a hit once we’re seated in the whimsical dining room.

The menu includes burgers, fries, and other comfort food, but the real event is dessert. The portions are massive, and everything comes with a bit of flair. It feels like an experience as much as a meal, which makes it perfect for celebrating something or just ending a long day on a high note.

There’s no shortage of great kid-friendly treats to be had in New York City. Especially when it’s chilly out and thankfully calories don’t count on vacation so parents are free to indulge too. If you’re visiting NYC with kids one of the most memorable places to grab brunch near Central Park is at Serendipity 3. The incredible Frrrozen Hot Chocolate (not a typo) is a treat that will have your littles grinning ear to ear. A little tip I learned while having my niece visit, start your morning here. Then use a walk through Central Park as a way to burn off the sugar rush and let your kiddo run wild while you wobble behind them.

In full transparency, the food at Serendipity 3 isn’t going to blow your mind, but the interior and experience make for a really fun time. It feels like you’re dining in an antique candy shop and again, the frozen hot chocolate is all your kids will be talking about for the next few weeks!

Some folks will argue that Serendipity is the king of kid-friendly restaurants in NYC and I can’t say I disagree. It feels like the spot was created with kiddos in mind with the entertaining decor and irresistible bites.

But nothing takes the crown like the frozzzen hot chocolate (not a typo!). Your little won’t know what to do with themselves as the frozen mountain of sugar approaches the table.

I can attest from first hand experience, you won’t find a better family-friendly restaurant in New York City for dessert than Serendipity.
