The best bagels on the Upper West Side.

Every one from my own visits, updated September 2026. 6 places.

I moved to the Upper West Side and immediately set out to answer the only question that mattered. Where are the best bagels? Three years and an embarrassing number of everything bagels later, I have thoughts. Strong ones. Some of these spots have lines that wrap around the block and every single one of them is worth the wait. Here are the best bagels on the Upper West Side.

Hi there! I’m Antonina and I live on the Upper West Side. Bagels are a passion of mine. There’s nothing like biting into that hot, fresh, straight off the rack bagel with the proper schmear.

The seal

If you're on this list, this is yours.

I went, and I said in my own words that it's worth your time. Nobody paid for that and nobody can. The seal says so, and it links back here, so anyone who sees it reads the whole list and how I decide.

Put it on your site, in the window, on the menu. Keep it linked when it's on the web and keep the words on it. That's the whole ask.

The code. Paste it where the seal should sit.
