When I first moved to New York, I was broke enough that free museum days weren’t a nice-to-have, they were the only option. That’s how I accidentally discovered that some of the most fascinating collections in this city don’t charge admission at all. I’ve been keeping a running list of free museums in New York City ever since, and these ten are the ones I genuinely enjoy going back to.
