In New York City, space is precious, so New Yorkers are forced to build up, not out. This vertical growth means plenty of skyscrapers and (luckily for us) a never-ending list of epic rooftop bars in Manhattan. Having lived in NYC for 6 years, here’s a roundup of my favorite spots, cheers!

  2. Castell RooftopBar · MidtownThis opulent Manhattan rooftop bar provides a celebrity-like experience without breaking the bank.
  3. Dear Irving on The HudsonBar · MidtownDrinks at Dear Irving typically cost around $19 each, which I wish I could gripe about, but they’re actually quite good.
  4. ManhattaBar · Financial DistrictLocated on the 60th floor at 28 Liberty Street, the views at Manhatta are easily the most sensational for a rooftop bar in lower Manhattan with stunning panoramic views of the NYC skyline.
  5. Mr. PurpleBar · Lower East SideWhat stands out is the drink menu offers strong cocktails served by friendly bartenders.
  6. Ophelia LoungeBar · Midtown EastThe food, particularly the spinach dip and truffle fries, is worth the trip but the prices can be on the higher side.
