Before we dive into my list of the best wine bars in New York City, let’s address the elephant. In the room. By and large, wine bars have a tendency to feel pretentious at best and haughty at worst. I can never resist a good wine bar in New York City, and after years in this city, I’ve tried them all.
Thankfully, the tide is shifting and casual wine drinking is becoming more approachable, especially among millennials. Cocktails and brews are slowly taking. If you find yourself in a similar boat, here’s my personal roundup of the most charming NYC wine bars.
