Running daily from 5-7 PM, Bar Belly, already a top spot in the Lower East Side, solidifies its status as a favorite happy hour joint with this generous offering. As one of the friendliest bars in the neighborhood, expect to leave feeling like you’ve made new friends since the service here is incredible.
Not to mention the live music, which adds to the laid-back vibes. Both locals and visitors find comfort in the unfussy LES happy hour spot. The drinks are expertly crafted, and the daily happy hour from 5 to 7 PM makes it easy to keep coming back.
I’m putting this first because it deserves to be first. Bar Belly on Delancey Street does $1 oysters and $8 cocktails during happy hour and somehow nobody talks about it.
Spoiler alert. The oysters are actually good. This isn’t some sketchy dollar oyster situation where you’re rolling the dice on food poisoning. They’re fresh, they’re plump, and you will absolutely eat 12 of them before you realize what’s happening. Pair that with their cocktails and you’ve got yourself a genuinely great evening for under $30.
The space is small, so go early or prepare to hover.
