I never get tired of this view.
Since opening in 1981, Blue Note has been a cornerstone of the city’s jazz scene, hosting legendary performances by renowned artists, like Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, Kenny Garrett and Lionel Hampton. Fun fact. Ray Charles performed at Blue Note for a full week every year, which only adds to the club’s prestige.
But, as with all good things, fame comes at a price. Blue Note is one of the most expensive jazz clubs in NYC, you’ll be paying a premium to enjoy a show. Blue Note’s impact extends far beyond the jazz club in New York. This beloved institution has spread globally to cities like Tokyo, Milan and São Paulo.
Something to Note. Starting in 2011 the Blue Note Jazz Club has held an annual festival every June in NYC called the Blue Note Jazz Festival. More than a dozen venues participate, for more info click here.
