The Chinese Lunar New Year is a festive celebration marking the beginning of the lunar calendar. Festivities commence January 29, 2025 and culminate on February 15, 2025 with a grand parade full of traditional dances, martial arts performances and dragons.

Join the celebration as local communities usher in the Year of the Snake in 2025. The streets of Chinatown are filled with exciting treats and beautiful decorations in the two weeks leading up to the parade. Experiencing the festivities in person is a must-do winter activity in New York City.
