Some folks don’t realize that Manhattan is home to the largest Chinatown in the country. Home to more than 150,000 Chinese-Americans, celebrating the Lunar New Year in Chinatown is not something you’ll quickly forget!
Dragon dancing, colorful outfits, martial art performers and impressive dancers take to the street for live music and firecrackers.
Featuring stunning visuals and delicious treats, there’s two important dates to know. The main parade takes place February 16, 2025 and the Firecracker Ceremony and Cultural Festival take place January 29, 2025 at Sara D. Roosevelt Park.
