Completed in 1914, the David N. Dinkins Manhattan Municipal Building is one of the largest government buildings in the world. It’s impossible to visit NYC without noticing this impressive towering structure, especially if you plan to cross the Brooklyn Bridge at one point during your visit (which you absolutely must do).

Renamed in 2015 in honor of former NYC Mayor David N. Dinkins for his decades of public service, the building was originally built to accommodate an increased need for office space. Today, it stands as an architectural feat that seems to defy gravity.

The beautiful NYC building incorporates Italian Renaissance, Roman Imperial and French Renaissance styes of architecture. Also, it was the first building in NYC to incorporate subway stations at its base, which is pretty cool.
