This is the bar the Rockefeller Center crowd actually wants to be at, spread across a charming old townhouse with seafood towers, good bar snacks, and a genuinely great cocktail program. It is not a discount situation, but the vibe is excellent and it is a step up from the usual office-crowd spots.
It gets busy and buzzy, especially Thursday and Friday. Come early if you want a seat. This is where I take out-of-town friends who want to feel like they found the cool place.
