In terms of beer gardens in NYC located in ManhattanSituated conveniently in Chelsea right under the High Line, the location can’t be beat.
Stepping foot into this NYC beer garden feels like stepping foot inside a German pub on Oktoberfest. Serving traditional German fare in an outdoor setting you can expect to find yourself ordering pretzels, sausage and beer more times in a week than you’d like to admit.
They also have two ping-pong tables that constantly boast lines as thirsty New Yorkers eagerly wait their turn with a brew in hand.
Before walking up to the bar make sure you swing by the booth near the entrance and purchase some tickets. A 16 oz. Beer will cost around $9, which feels fair for the generous pour. Then head to the bar and trade a ticket with the bartender for a beer of your choosing.
Something to Note. The tickets are only good for beer. They cannot be used for other drinks or food.
