Best rooftop bars in Brooklyn, 2026.

Located a mere two blocks from the most popular rooftop bar in Brooklyn (the Westlight), Bar Blondeau is much easier to get into last minute and the skyline views are equally remarkable!

Unable to score tables at the Westlight, we met a friend for an impromptu date on a random Saturday evening and were promptly seated at Bar Blondeau. The libations were strong and light bites highly satisfying, we had a blast soaking up the epic views.

Bar Blondeau has since become my go-to rooftop bar in Brooklyn. So much so, it makes an appearance on my list of the best things to do in Greenpoint.

By bringing twenty of the city’s best restaurants under one roof, Timeout Market makes choosing a place to eat so much easier. But the fun doesn’t start until you make it to the rooftop. During sunset the 5th-floor rooftop swells with tourists and locals alike and it’s not hard to see why.

Billed as one of the best rooftop bars in Brooklyn, the views of the Manhattan skyline are hard to beat. What’s more, if you visit during the week (between 4-7pm), you’ll be privy to one of the best happy hour deals in New York City to boot. Beers start at $5 and cocktails at $8, which is a measly price to pay for such stunning views.

Westlight is one of the most famous rooftop bars in Brooklyn. Upscale and classy, it’s located on the 22nd floor of the posh William Vale Hotel. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the rooftop bar provides unparalleled views of the city. It feels magical every time. Cocktails range between $18-22, but there isn’t much in the way of food, just small bites to share between sips (the fries are top-notch).

Berry Park is a two-story beer garden that offers relaxed vibes for casual gatherings with friends. The first floor is filled with large screens playing sports, while the second floor plays host to a large rooftop with unparalleled views of Manhattan.

Offering an great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, Berry Park is one of the most affordable rooftop bars in Brooklyn. During the daytime finding a place to sit is rarely an issue, but come sunset the place swarms with a lively crowd.

Harriet’s Rooftop sits atop the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, and offers unobstructed views of Lower Manhattan’s skyscrapers. There are two distinct seating areas, Harriet’s Rooftop is the outside patio that has furniture made of reclaimed wood and a backyard vibe (only open in the spring + summer).

Harriet’s Lounge on the other hand is inside, on the hotel’s 10th floor. This experience feels swanky, with floor to ceiling window and plush velvet booths. The lounge was listed on Conde Nast’s Best Bars & Restaurants in the World in 2021, and is one of the best rooftop bars in Brooklyn that’s open late (until 2am Fridays and Saturdays).

Perched atop The Hoxton Hotel, Laser Wolf is an Israeli rooftop restaurant in Williamsburg famous for tender meat skewers cooked over live coals. The restaurant boasts an inspired cocktail menu featuring a slew of innovative cocktails, beer, wine, and a drink called arak (a liquor distilled from coconut or rice).

The ambiance feels like a barbecue, with bartenders in Hawaiian shirts, sunny views of the Manhattan skyline, the smell of the grill wafting into the restaurant’s open-air seating area. But fair warning, this popular rooftop bar in Brooklyn is one of the hardest reservations to get in New York City (reservations are released daily, 21 days in advance at 10am).

LoHi offers laid-back vibes, delicious bites and an epic view of New York City. Located in East Williamsburg, you’ll get views of the Manhattan skyline in the distance. The food and drinks are straightforward (pizza, sandwiches, beer, well cocktails, etc.), making it an approachable rooftop Brooklyn bar for anyone in the mood for great views without pageantry.

On par with Brooklyn’s hipster reputation, the vibes at Greenpoint Beer are relaxed and inviting. The industrial taproom buzzes with stalwart locals, but the spirited rooftop is where it’s at.

We met a friend at the rooftop last fall and had a blast catching up over brews while enjoying the great vibes. We noticed tons of folks playing cards and made a note to bring some next time.

Don’t sleep on the food menu, the German-inspired fare always hits the spot, I’m a sucker for the bratwurst but you can’t go wrong with the giant Bavarian pretzel either.
