What I wrote thereFold it away

Celebrating more than 40 years in the East Village, Cafe Mogador recently expanded to Williamsburg with an exciting lineup of Mediterranean-inspired breakfast classics. The Middle Eastern Breakfast (eggs, hummus, tabouli and salad) and Moroccan Eggs (poached eggs, spicy tomato, pepper sauce, house-made sausage) are both great options for a punchy Williamsburg brunch meal. If you’re playing it safe, go with the creamy eggs Benedict or airy buttermilk pancakes, both delicious.

Don’t overthink it. But if you see a daily. That’s usually where the kitchen really shows off.

What I wrote thereFold it away

Cafe Mogador (133 Wythe Avenue) is the Williamsburg outpost of the legendary East Village original, and the brunch is just as good. The shakshuka ($17) is the standout. Eggs baked in spiced tomato sauce, served with bread for scooping. It’s messy and perfect.

The Moroccan eggs with merguez sausage are also excellent. The mint tea is strong and sweet. The space is bigger than the East Village location, which means the wait is slightly more reasonable. Slightly.
