Part-museum, part-indoor playground, the Children’s Museum of Manhattan is all about inspiring the next generation of creative thinkers through educational exhibits. For more than a decade, the museum’s team collaborated with child development experts to create a space where young kids can boost their motor skills and problem-solving abilities.
Five floors of fun, the museum is ideal for kids under 10 years old. Seasonal exhibitions keeps things exciting and fresh year-round, making it the perfect rainy day activity when you’re looking to tire the kids out.
This five-story museum is designed with younger kids in mind. Exhibits focus on imaginative play, motor skills, art, water play, and early literacy. One floor might be all about the digestive system (with a giant walk-through intestine), while another has a quiet area for storytime and building blocks.
It’s one of the easiest spots to spend a few hours indoors without a meltdown. The layout is manageable, the staff is friendly, and there’s enough to do that no one gets bored too quickly.
