It's on 3 of my lists. Each entry below is what I wrote about it there, with my verdict on that list, the fullest first.
Jacques Torres is a chocolate shop first and foremost. So, should we act surprised when they end up creating one of the best cookies in New York City? Unlike the other cookies mentioned on the list so far, Jacques Torres’s version is mostly chewy and seldom served warm.
Unpopular opinion. Controversial take. a great cookie should be slightly underbaked. If it’s crunchy, I don’t want it.
I must admit, upon first glance I assumed the cookies would be dry due to the texture (it was so flat!). So imagine my surprise when I bit into a satisfyingly chewy treat chock full of chocolate discs (as opposed to chips). The best!
Since this cookie is MASSIVE I was hoping to save some of it for the next day but quickly realized there was no chance. I ate the whole thing before dinner and was even tempted get more the next day. Of all the NYC cookies I sampled to create this list of the best, the chocolate chip
Jacques Torres specializes in chocolate and because of his mastery of the chocolate language (let’s just both admit that’s a real thing for the sake of time), the complexity of flavor found in the hot cocoa makes it one of the best hot chocolates in NYC.
For over 20 years, Jacques Torres has left his mark on the chocolate world and has created treats and drinks that could not be replicated no matter how hard you tried. One sip of this NYC hot chocolate and you’ll be hooked, I swear. This type of hot cocoa is velvety smooth when hot but solidifies to a soft chocolate bar when it cools.
for rich drinking chocolate Jacques Torres and L. A. Burdick reign supreme.
