Dominique Ansel Bakery.

Worth it, says Antonina. The perfect unison of flavors between the rich butter and chocolate chunks made me convinced that this the most perfect cookie in New York.

In true Dominique Ansel fashion, nothing can be done half-way (cronut, anyone?). Innovate or perish and locals can’t help but benefit. As such, is anyone surprised to see Dominique Ansel Bakery mentioned on a list of the best cookies in NYC?

Hardly.

During my last visit, I was intrigued by the cookie and the cashier nudged me in the right direction by mentioning that it was his favorite item on the menu. What was I supposed to do?

Um, I was not prepared for the wild ride. The chewy yet dense texture was everything I didn’t know I needed. The perfect unison of flavors between the rich butter and chocolate chunks made me convinced that this the most perfect cookie in New York.

As I walked around SOHO with my prized procession in hand, it didn’t take long to realize that this cookie alone is worth going out of the way for. It’s that good.

Worth it, says Antonina. Been? Say if you agree.

There’s nothing quite like the change of seasons and the start of hot chocolate weather. But as any true connoisseur knows, not all hot chocolates are created equal. Dominque Ansel takes the cake in. Kids can’t resist the playfulness that comes with each cup of cocoa.

Each drink is topped with a marshmallow in the shape of a flower, coated in white chocolate. When the chocolate melts, a blossoming flower appears atop your cocoa! Your kids will absolutely lose their little minds over the “magic” they’ve just witnessed, it’s a memory you’re going to want to record. And while the cocoa is one of the best desserts in NYC for kids, everything else sold here is pure gold for the adults.

I’ve visited Dominique Ansel Bakery plenty of times and can tell you confidently that it’s impossible to be disappointed when visiting. The best way to describe this popular New York City bakery would be.Michelin-star quality at a fraction of the price.

Often considered one of the most innovative bakeries in New York City, the Cronut (half croissant, half doughnut) put them on the map in 2013 and the lines (still) wrap the block, 10 years later. The flavor changes monthly and never repeat (once the month is over, the flavor disappears for good). To see this month’s flavor, check out their website.

Often considered the most innovative bakery in New York City, Dominique Ansel Bakery offers Michelin-star quality pastries at a fraction of the price. The bakery gained national fame in 2013 with the invention of the Cronut (half-croissant, half-doughnut). To this day (10 years later), folks line up to score the world-famous Cronut.

It sells out daily, but fret not, this NYC bakery’s innovative approach to pastries, combining traditional French techniques with imaginative concepts, ensures that every baked good is bound to impress. The Kouign-Amann (pronounced “Queen Amon”) is especially good!
