The Smith on Broadway near Lincoln Center is one of those reliable brunch spots that does everything well without trying too hard. The menu is huge so everyone in your group will find something they like, from ricotta pancakes to a solid steak and eggs. I’d recommend making a reservation because the weekend crowd fills this place up fast.

Crowds are all but guaranteed but with so many locations sprinkled around New York City the restaurant shouldn’t be too hard to get a reservation at.
The restaurant has four locations across New York City. One in the Upper West Side (perfect for a post-Macy’s Day Parade meal), another in Nomad, one in the East Village and the last one in Midtown. In 2022 The Smith charged $78 per person for a three course, Thanksgiving Dinner, and the NYC restaurant will likely charge a similar price tag in 2024.

Of all the meals I had at The Smith, I find myself coming back, time and time again for the brunch. The cocktails are refreshing and the buttermilk pancakes are a clear stand-out.
If you get the hankering for traditional American brunch on the Upper West Side, The Smith should fit the bill. The Smith is always a hit with our out-of-town guests, so it’s on constant rotation in our arsenal.
